Tribe of Lambs

Funding homes for children living with HIV in India,

to give them the brightest start in life we can.

School Lunch Program

Kids in India are in school 6 days a week, and we want to make sure the kids we support have a healthy, nutritious lunch provided every single day they’re in school.

We currently have 57 kids in school, and the school lunch programme costs $16.32 CAD (just over £10) a month, less than $1 a meal!

Will you provide school lunches for 1 child in 2024 with a regular donation today?

In a nutshell.

We raise money & awareness for children living with HIV in India.

We partner with Indian NGOs and homes which work solely for the care, education & rights of children that are either infected or affected by the HIV virus.

Together we define areas that Tribe of Lambs Giving can support their work, relieve financial constraints and create brighter futures for children living with HIV.

Welcome to the Tribe.

The problem.

Stigma

Government orphanages in India do not accept HIV positive children. This forces displaced children to turn to child labour, begging and prostitution to survive.

Awareness

Due to a lack of knowledge about the virus, many HIV positive parents are untested, undiagnosed and therefore unmedicated. Which means many of these children are orphaned when their parents die of AIDS or abandoned because their parents are too sick to care for them.

Epidemic

India has the third largest HIV epidemic in the world – where approximately 2.1 million people are living with the virus, and about 170,000 of those people are children under the age of 15.

The Kids.

We’ve partnered with Rays Aasha Ki Ek Kiran, a home for children infected or affected by HIV in Jaipur, India for 7 years running. We work closely with children we support, visiting Rays every year – so that we can share the stories of their triumph with you, the generous donors.
